  1. What are Tension Fabric Systems?

    Tension Fabric Systems (TFS) or Silicone-Edge Graphics (SEG) are an increasingly popular product in the exhibition and retail display industries. Utilising a high quality digital print onto a range of polyester fabrics, a silicone keder is sewn onto the edge, allowing the print to be easily installed into the frame, creating an impactful seamless graphic

  2. What types of frames can be used?

    We provide SEG prints for a wide range of frames, from the beMatrix and Aluvision modular systems, through to bespoke sized frames using different freestanding and wall mounted profiles from EFKA, SpiritTex, Unibox and Octonorm, as well as off-the-shelf frames and light boxes from the likes of Ultima Displays and Very Displays.

  3. How do I measure the frame?

    We only require the outside frame dimensions for the width and height of the frame in millimetres. If you are using a system such as T3 or a SEG fabric pop-up, please also let us know the SEG keder size, as these tend to be 10x3mm or 12x3mm, rather than the standard 14x3mm.

    If you are using an Aluvision or beMatrix system and have a technical drawing, please send this as they are useful for sizing larger projects.

  4. How do you get the print the right size?

    Through years' of printing SEG prints, we have a secret formula to create graphics at just the right size, so they are easy to install yet tensioned perfectly.

  5. What size SEG keder/gasket do you use?

    The standard size keder sewn onto prints is 14x3mm.

    Some systems and SEG pop-up require smaller 12x3mm or 10x3mm keder - just let us know when ordering if you require these.

  6. What fabrics do you print on?

    We offer three main polyester fabrics for our SEG prints:

    - Black-back block-out SEG - our standard fabric for SEG graphics, as it uses special black backing to stop any light passing through the fabric, ideal for use in exhibition halls and freestanding prints. It has a bright white front, for high contrast impactful prints.

    - Backlit light box SEG - for illuminated graphics with big impact

    - Display polyester - ideal for use in wall mounted graphics, where light show-through is not an issue.

    All polyester materials are B1 fire rated for use in exhibition venues - certificates available upon request.

  7. What print process do you use?

    We can provide in-house prints up to 3.2m wide, with SEG prints up 3.15m, printed using UV process. We utilise a high-quality ink and UV-specific print media to provide SEG prints with brilliant colours and high contrast visuals, with durable finish that is resistant to creases and marks usually associated with UV prints.

    We work closely with print partners who can provide UV printed SEG graphics up to 5m wide and Dye-sublimation prints up to 3.2m.

  9. What is the lead time for SEG prints?

  10. What are the artwork specifications?

    Use the external frame dimensions as your art board and provide a minimum of 15mm bleed needed on each side, with 25mm being the ideal amount. Do not put any important text within 15mm of the sides of the print.

    If your print is over 3m it is best to save files at scale, either 1/4 size (25%) or 1/10 size (10%).
